ABOUT:
“Designer’s Talk”is an educational knowledge exchange platform app directed towards design students within the creative community studying at a secondary school, college or university level in which they can gain both insight and experience across a variety of different design practices.
“Designer’s Talk” is a highly functionable, concise, accessible, reliable, informative and safe interface that is on brand, fulfils a desired gap within the business market and successfully meets its purpose of enhancing educational support and resources for design students whilst additionally establishing a sense of community and acceptance.
This educational tool helps to provide an expansion of student’s skill sets and design knowledge, whilst also playing a substantial part in allowing them to further inform their own narrative identity and self-identity as a creative whilst also ensuring further support in helping young people further progress and transition from creative education into the design industry.
The "Designer's Talk" proposal also successfully highlighted the need for continual investment in supporting young designers though education.
"Designer's Talk" was produced as part of my dissertation in relation to the University of Dundee Business Enterprise module within 3rd and 4th year Product Design Bsc Hons studies.
